What do I need to show my horse?

All horses must be registered with the SHA along with their stable in order to participate in SHA events.

How do I show my horse?

Horses can be shown in either member run shows or official Simquestria Horse Association shows. You can find available shows posted in our Events section at the very top of the Discord navigation menu in our server - or you can check out our Shows category! Further details on different shows will be provided in the indiviual show threads.

Can I judge a show and participate?

Due to complications of potential bias - we do not allow members to judge shows they are also participating in. 

What are the horse levels and their requirements?

Beginner:

• Horse must have below 50 show points.
  Novice:

• Horse must have earned 50-99 show points.
  Intermediate:

• Horse must have 100-149 show points.
  Champion:

• Horse must have 150 or more show points.
  Titles:

• Titles are not a level, but for every Championship that a horse wins after reaching 200 points, they receive a title. They can receive up to 10 titles before they cap.

Heritage Points...?

Horses can earn points that then pass down as heritage points to their offspring. The levels pass down points to their offspring as follows -
 

• Beginner - 0
• Novice - 1
• Intermediate - 2
• Champion - 3
• 
  Each Champion Title Earned - 1

These points are added on to the judges final scoring as bonus points in shows.

How can my horse earn points?

Horses earn 5 points towards their show points for every show they're entered in as a participation point.
 

Non-traditional show's do not award placement points, but can still award participation points.
 

Show Point Awards for Placing are as follows -

• Winner: 20 points (+5)

• Runner - Up: 10 points (+5)

• Placed: 8 points (+5)

• Participation: 5 point
